Daria Titova

Daria works with dance, physical theatre, voice, and text, using the body as a starting point to tell human stories. She is interested in how experiences, memories, and questions of belonging shape us, and in how performance can become a way of engaging with the complexity, vulnerability, and contradictions of being human.

As a performer, she has collaborated with various choreographers and companies, including Action Zoo Humaine, Cecilia Moisio Company, BonteHond and Maas Theater en Dans, among others. She feels at home in pieces that ask for emotional subtlety, physical intensity, and interdisciplinary collaboration, and has developed a sensitivity to working with complex material on stage.

Alongside her practice as a performer, Daria is developing her own artistic projects. Her work moves between live performance and film, and is driven by a desire to engage with ideas that are personal and urgent. She is interested in choosing stories that matter, learning how to serve them, and creating work that holds space for layered human narratives.

Daria produced and choreographed the short dance film through the roots (2024) - a personal project exploring identity, memory, and connection to land, made as an ode to her grandfather. The film had its Dutch premiere at Eye Filmmuseum during Cinedans 2025, followed by screenings at various international festivals.

She is interested in interdisciplinary processes and meaningful collaborations that allow space for depth, care, and exchange, and hopes to continue developing work that engages with urgent questions — work that is grounded in lived experience, yet able to resonate beyond the personal and speak to the world at large.
